What would life be like without music?

Most people may think that music is just something that comes across our lives once in a while and doesn't necessarily obtain vast significance. Many people may not realize it, but music is all around us. When scrolling on TikTok, almost every video has some type of background music to keep the watchers engaged. Wouldn't it be boring to watch all videos without some form of music? Going deeper into this vision, imagine watching a tv show or a movie without music. Imagine you're watching an intense fighting scene, but instead of fierce build-up music, all you hear are grunts and swords clashing against each other. Quite monotonous, wouldn't it be? The same concept can also be applied to emotional scenes. A perfect example of this would be Gwen's death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Of course, Andrew Garfield did an exceptional job as an actor to help the audience indulge in the scene with his emotional acting, such as his tears, the shaking of his hands, and the tone of his voice. But the reality is, that scene probably wouldn't be as emotional and heartbreaking as it is without the slow, distant, and melodic piano music in the background as Peter Parker is breaking down and lying over Gwen's dead body. Not only does music apply to just intense or emotional movie scenes, but it can apply to any emotions humans may experience, such as anger, ecstasy, calmness, horror, pain, and the list goes on and on and on. All these examples and imaginations lead to my point that the world would be so dull and emotionless without music. I recently came across a picture on Pinterest that perfectly captured my thoughts about what life is like with music.

I'm in love with this piece of artwork because it shows that music is the color we need in our lives. Without music, our lives would be mundane. Our lives would be lethargic. Our lives would be dreary. Our lives would be lifeless.
